Honestly, I can understand why “Black” got such mixed reviews. The story is exciting. Every episode keeps you on the edge of your seat. Song Seung-Heon is handsome. Go Ara is awesome in everything she’s been in. But the progression towards the ending... It needed a little bit more time. This should have been a 20 or 21 episode drama. Deciding to reboot everything in the end probably left audiences feeling empty and incomplete. The finale was an absolute cry-fest.

This drama is definitely not meant for audiences younger than the age of 18 or so. The TV rating disadvises viewers under the age of 15 (pretty much a TV-14 US rating), but the concepts in “Black” were all a bit dark, some dirty, and sometimes just plain explicit.

I liked it, though! Could barely put it down! Even until the ending. I liked the suspense, the activity, the actors, and the development. We got pieces of the mystery little by little, kept us guessing for ages,  but unleashing everything when 444 figured out EVERYTHING might have been a little much. I was excited, but I almost felt nauseous too. What a reveal!

Some things I wish would have been added. This is not really a cliche drama. You’d have a hard time filling out one of those bingo cards you can find on Pinterest, but I almost wish there would be a cliche here or there. It probably would have softened the drama a bit. There’s no passionate kiss, either, for those of you who were hoping to see some of that.

Plot twists everywhere. Gasping every episode at least once. That’s what’s in Black. 👌🏻
