Brief synopsis: Choi Dae-Ho holds his son Min-Woo precious above all else, but after Min-Woo disappears at an amusement park, Dae-Ho spends the next 3 years searching for him. But there seems to be no lead! Just when Dae-Ho thinks he is out of hope, a former friend emerges with an innovative method to find Min-Woo: lucid dreaming. By revisiting memories in dreams and being aware that he is dreaming, Dae-Ho gets a chance to investigate what really happened to Min-Woo with the help of a psychologist and a cripple. But he may not like what he finds.

I watched this movie as a suggestion form a friend. I was surprised how quickly the story picked up. The first part of the film didn’t spare much time on setting up Choi Dae-Ho; we get to learn more about him from watching his behavior in the film itself. So I’ll admit, I didn’t watch with any inkling of what the story was supposed to be about.

What I loved about this film was that we gradually got the full picture along with Choi Dae-Ho. We learned the major plot twist at the same time, too. I did have my suspicions about that, by the way. But then I put those suspicions on the back-burner trying to understand the plot, and especially the role of Park Yoo-Chun (who I’ve seen in dramas before).

This movie has a happy ending, It’s a little unclear how the antagonist meets his demise, but we see the happy reunion of Choi Dae-Ho and Choi Min-Woo.

Not bad! 4/5 stars!
