Brief summary: When a bomb explodes in an Incheon hotel, Li Shan and Ah Yo become prime suspects unless they can find the real terrorists. They team up with experienced bounty hunters Cat, Swan, and Bao Bao for needed equipment and stratagem, but their situation looks pretty dangerous...

The real appeal of the show was Lee Min-Ho, but I was a bit disappointed by his casting this time. He was voiced-over for the entire show, save for one line. I get that Lee Min-Ho has the visuals and skills necessary to make it big in the entertainment business, even internationally, but his voice does well on its own too! Albums and albums worth! Although I’m sure it was a great opportunity for him, he shouldn’t have been cast just for his looks and stunt talent. So I’ll say it: this role was beneath him. Finding someone else who could speak Mandarin without an artificial voice would have been just fine.

The genre for this movie is a little confusing. It’s listed under Action, Comedy, and Romance, but it really only qualifies as a comedy with a few smooth and impressive action scenes. There’s not enough chemistry or romantic acting from Li Shan and Cat to really make you believe it.

Another catch is that it’s a Chinese movie, but the major locations in the film are in Thailand and S. Korea. What’s that about?

I’d compare “Bounty Hunters” to the American Hollywood production “Get Smart,” but it’s still really lacking. Younger teen audiences would probably like it more than I did. 3/5 stars!
