The 2017 Korean film starring Park Seo-Joon as Park Gi-Joon and Kang Ha-Neul as Kang Hee-Yeol.
Brief summary: Two unlikely young men Park Gi-Joon and Kang Hee-Yeol became friends soon after entering the Police Academy at the same time. But after 2 years, life at the police academy has gotten boring... Sdo the boys decide that one night out to find themselves a couple of dames will do the trick! They head out confidently, not realizing that not only will they probably not find a new date, but they probably also won’t be going back to the academy for longer than expected.
This action comedy impressed me! Park Seo-Joon and Kang Ha-Neul were both amazing! All their hard work definitely paid off. And Park Seo-Joon— I had no idea you could do pull-ups like that!
The story was actually quite organized. The case the boys stumbled on was surprisingly menacing and I thought that portrayal was done really well. It gave the plot a lot of depth and even some moral value! Throughout the movie, the boys are trying to use the police for the safety and emergency services that law enforcement is supposed to provide, but right and left they get words like “protocol,” “wait,” and “policy.” What makes this movie so enjoyable is that the main characters decide that their personal type of law enforcement isn’t going to be like that. Instead, they decide to devote their entire selves to seeing this case closed with justice.
5/5 stars, hands down! I’d watch this movie again and again and with anybody who tried to argue against it!
